Instructions for Authors
Manuscripts submitted to the Anatolian Journal of Politics and International Relations (AJPIR) must be prepared in accordance with the APA (7th edition) referencing and citation system. Submissions should have a total length of 6,000–8,000 words, including the abstract, keywords, main text, footnotes, and references.
All manuscripts must be written in Turkish or English (American spelling conventions) and prepared in Microsoft Word or compatible word-processing software. The main text should be formatted in Times New Roman, 12-point font, with 1.5 line spacing, while footnotes should be in 10-point font.
Authors should employ a maximum two-level heading structure. First-level headings must be presented in bold, and second-level headings in bold italics. Headings should not be numbered.
Short quotations within the text should appear in double quotation marks. Quotations exceeding four lines must be presented as a block quotation, placed in a separate paragraph, indented approximately 0.5 inches from the left margin, and formatted with single line spacing. Block quotations should be enclosed in single quotation marks.
Terms and expressions derived from languages other than English should be written in italics, and their English translations should be provided in parentheses at first mention.
For emphasis within the main text, authors should avoid the use of italics, boldface, or underlining. Instead, emphasized words or phrases should be indicated using single quotation marks. However, emphasis added within quoted material should be presented in italics, accompanied by a footnote clarifying that the emphasis belongs to the author.
