Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit original and unpublished manuscripts to the Anatolian Journal of Politics and International Relations (AJPIR). All submissions undergo an initial editorial screening to determine their relevance to the journal’s aims and scope, as well as their compliance with minimum scholarly and methodological standards. Manuscripts that are deemed suitable in terms of thematic relevance, theoretical contribution, and academic quality will be forwarded to the double-blind peer review process, after which a final editorial decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection will be made.

Prior to submission, authors are responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions for the use of copyrighted or third-party materials, including but not limited to images, figures, tables, documents, and datasets. All individuals listed as authors must have made a significant scholarly contribution to the manuscript and must provide their consent to be identified as co-authors. Where applicable, research involving human participants, sensitive data, or institutional access must have received approval from a recognized ethics committee in accordance with the legal and institutional requirements of the country in which the research was conducted.

The editorial office reserves the right to issue a desk rejection for manuscripts that fall outside the scope of the journal or fail to meet fundamental academic standards in terms of research design, conceptual clarity, analytical rigor, and scholarly presentation. Authors are therefore strongly advised to ensure that their manuscripts present a clearly articulated research question, a well-structured theoretical and methodological framework, and a coherent argument supported by relevant literature and empirical evidence.

The manuscript title should be concise, informative, and academically precise, while the abstract should provide a self-contained summary of the research objectives, methods, key findings, and scholarly contribution. Careful adherence to these standards will facilitate the review process and increase the likelihood of securing qualified peer reviewers.

All manuscripts must be prepared in accordance with the APA (American Psychological Association) 7th edition referencing and citation style, including in-text citations, reference lists, tables, figures, and overall manuscript formatting. Careful adherence to these standards will facilitate the review process and increase the likelihood of securing qualified peer reviewers.

Once authors are satisfied that their submission meets the journal’s academic and technical requirements, they are kindly requested to proceed by following the submission preparation checklist provided below.
